I was born and raised in Southern California & then in 2009, I yanked up my roots and transplanted myself to a small lakeside town in New Hampshire. Being so far from my family created an urgency within me to document every single second of my life so that I could make them feel like they were there with me. That need has since translated to an appreciation for every second of a wedding day or a family session.
Before I was a full time photographer, I worked in EMS for a decade. I was invited into peoples homes on some of their hardest days, and no matter where I was, there were always photos on the walls. That stuck with me - the way that those images were part of the home - not just decoration, but proof of love, connection and familial history. I learned that the most fleeting moments in life are sometimes the most important. I've applied that philosophy to my photography and aim to capture the tiniest details of your life that you might otherwise overlook.
I can't wait to discover the magic that we can create together!
quick facts
• My husband and I have a very spicy and opinionated dog named Jimmy who runs our house - we just live here.
• I love to run and have raced multiple marathons with a goal of qualifying for Boston one day - an ideal morning is a long run followed by the biggest brunch I can whip up, and sitting outside for the rest of the day with a book.
• My grandfather taught me the value of putting your hands in the dirt and growing food for your family and community - so every year I over commit to a massive garden and then we absolutely drown in tomatoes by August.
• I've driven through multiple blizzards in Iceland, danced in the courtyard of an Irish castle, and seen the sun rise from a hot air balloon in Kenya, but my favorite trips have been cross-country roadtrips with Jimmy. There's nothing like driving your dog thousands of miles to experience the Pacific Ocean.
• I've been an avid reader since I was a toddler, and have a personal goal each year to read at least 100 books - some of my favorites are The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah, Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert, and anything by Sarah J. Maas.
